Tmoving arrives in Teulada-Moraira

Next Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April, TMOVING will take over the streets of Teulada and Moraira. But … What is TMOVING? TMOVING Is a series of outdoor activities especially designed for the whole family to enjoy a different weekend with very different activities usually practiced at these locations.

Among the activities to highlight in the context of this event, there are:

• Friday 15:

19:00 h: TMOVING 2011 Presentation; musical performance and release of lit balloons. Held in Church Street. Moraira.

Moraira Yacht Club

For the twenty-first time, C.N. Moraira invites to the traditional Chambel Fishing Contest. Chambel fishing (also known as run lead) consists in releasing a line drawn by a lead from with several hooks attached along its length.

Next 13th, 20th and 27th February 2011, registered ships with their crews will meet at C.N. Moraira to compete in Pajel mode (very common fish in the Mediterranean) and in «other species» category.

Rotary Club Benissa-Teulada

The Benissa-Teulada Rotary Club –in collaboration with the Teulada Town Hall- continues the concerts season by Ensemble 7 Claves during February and March 2011. The money raised will be destined to the Teulada Alzheimer’s Association.

This is just one of the many initiatives by Benissa-Teulada Rotary Club to support social organisations through fundraising while contributing to the cultural life of the region.

A similar concerts season was already organised in November and December 2010. It was a great success, with fully sold events on the 174-seat capacity venue.

The Three Wise Men

Every year, The Three Wise Men arrive at Costa Blanca north and stop in Teulada-Moraira. This is their schedule. Find out when and where they will be and accompany them in their festive procession.

4^th and 5^th January are “requests” days:

Teulada Sports Centre -Polideportivo-: 4^th January from 09:00 h to 22:00 h; 5^th January from 09:00 h to 12:00 h.
Neighbourhood Committee -Junta Vecinal- Cap d’Or in Moraira (9 Almacenes st.): 4^th January from 17:00 h to 20:00 h; 5^th January from 10:00 h to 13:00 h.

Moors and Christians in Moraira

On the weekend of 11th and 12th December, the streets of Moraira are embellished to celebrate the “Mig Any” (Half Year) of the Moros y Cristianos -Moors and Christians Fiestas-. As the tradition advises, the General Committee organizes this fiesta for another year. The event will be celebrated, mostly, in the tent of “Les Sorts” parking area. This is the same spot where the VII Feria de Nuestro Comercio –Local trade fair- took place only a week ago.
